Profile

Taishi founded Compllege in 2005 as a music-focused creative unit and has served as its organizer and producer ever since. He also began performing as a DJ in 2007 and currently appears at a wide range of events based in Tokyo. He released numerous works through cosmic record, the music label of the anime studio Studio DEEN. At cosmic record, he also produced music for the unit Electro.muster, creating many electronic-music-centered tracks including theme songs for PC games. In addition, he has produced demo sounds for VOCALOID projects such as Aoki Lapis and IA, and has contributed music to rhythm games. His club-music activities have also expanded internationally: “Boundary Layer,” released by Otographic Music in 2016, reached No. 23 on Beatport’s Progressive House chart, while “Chronicle / Glint in the Dark” reached No. 4 on Beatport’s overall genre release chart. In 2020, he joined the music production team Arte Refact, where he worked on numerous songs for anime, games, and idol projects. He left Arte Refact in 2026 and returned to working as a freelance composer and producer.
